Artist Biography
My work as web architect, designer, and creative/illustrator stems from over 9 years in web and print design, as well as over 26 years in information technology, art, and illustration.
From illustration and design for print, I moved to web design in 1994. My background in information technology, systems analysis, and knowledge acquisition for Artificial Intelligence systems, combined with a lifetime of artwork and illustration, made this a perfect move.
Thus, I am a web site architect and designer with strong emphasis on content development and targeted illustration. I have over 9 years of experience in web architectures and full web life cycle development on UNIX and Windows platforms for high-tech businesses and non-profit educational organizations. Additionally, I create expert digital and hand/traditional illustration to communicate with your customers.
Most recently, I have concentrated on business-to-business marketing via the web, making and refining messages and getting software into the hands of prospective customers. Pre-web, I had over 15 years of experience in information technologies and software systems design & development. Additionally, I have published award-winning technical papers and presented at IEEE and AAAI conferences. I have also produced and managed many winning business proposals, especially for Government consulting contracts.
Currently I am creative director at Real Magnet, an e-mail marketing ASP. I spent 5 years previous as web site manager and marketing associate for Visual Mining (www.visualmining.com). I architected and completely revised their web site design 3 times in 5 years, adding in successful CGI help forum, examples galleries, and software download mechanisms. I upgraded web site from basic HTML to modern dynamic HTML/CSS layout, maintaining cross-platform compatibility. Additionally, I continually adjusted their targeted marketing messages, always working closely with their marketing directors.
